this may be a repost but in light of the current talk of allowing campus carry, i thought this was interesting.
this so-called scholar thinks that disgruntled students have to wait for the law to go into effect before they decide to shoot the place up.

Those honest law abiding students bent on shooting someone in class have to wait till its legal to have that pistol on campus. Wish I'd thought of a law like that, I'm sure everyone has and will follow the letter of these laws.

Undoubtedly just posturing to "send a message."
Had an associate like him at WOSC for awhile, and the first time the subject came up, you might take him seriously, but after awhile he was just the "raving liberal anti-gun nut." He finally gave up trying to save the rest of the faculty from ourselves and moved back to wherever in the NE he was from.

There are some professors who might be a tad rude with students. They may have more to fear or feel guilty about than most.

The real story here is:
"9,999 Texas professors are going to work as usual. One 70 year old professor says he is quitting"

This cannot happen fast enough in Oklahoma.
