varget powder question

In .223, I've had the most consistent (less varying) loads with compressed loads in the AR platform.

Me too. Across the chrony, I'll average no more than 35fps.

I read that the powder stays more stable during the chambering process resulting in more consistency; but I don't know how true that is.

What's amazing is some of the factory premium ammo costing $40 for 20 rounds can vary over 100fps. Sad.

Once my loading block is full, I tap the block and settle them all at the same time.

I loaded some 69g Sierra Matchkings today with 24.5g or of Varget and like everyone else said, the cases are very full.

At least it makes it easy to notice a double charge!

I use Varget all the time. It is a great powder for .223. As long as the charge falls within the min-max load in your manual, you should be fine. There are several max loads depending on the round that have the + symbol next to the max load which means it will be a compressed load. 25.0 seems more like a max load than a min for Varget.
