Hello, I have several different reloading pieces that I am needing to sell and only have an idea of what they are from using google. A friend of mine passed away and this was all his equipment. Can someone guide me to what each item is in more detail so I can put it up for sale? He also had guns but I don't know the laws pertaining to selling these guns are so the wrong person doesn't end up with one from me. I am willing to pay for this help. I hate trying to list items without a clue on what it really is.

Also am I allowed to post anything with pictures on this site for feedback from this audience? Moderator if I do anything not allowed I am sure you will let me know. Thanks again for allowing me to ask questions and guide me. Please guide gently as I am fully aware of my clueless status on these matters but need help not criticism.

Welcome to the forum.

There are rules to buying/selling posted in the want ads section. As I recall you have to have a certain amount of posts before you can sell. But also as I understand, there is nothing wrong with posting pictures and asking questions. If I'm wrong, I'm certain there will be someone coming along shortly to make the correction. To be 100% sure, I'd recommend sending a PM to one of the moderators for specific questions.

I am currently keeping several firearms and accessories for a friend of mine whose father passed away because she does not want them in her house. The estate is in flux because of some legal action by other family members, so I am keeping them until she tells me to sell them or wants them back.
Firearms and reloading equipment that come from an estate can legally be sold to anyone legally able to buy a gun in the state of Oklahoma. I would say you need to make sure no one in the family wants any of the firearms or equipment, before you sell them. If the estate has gone to probate or been sued the rules change.

Edited to add:
If you want some help in figuring out what you have and what you should ask for it, you can post some pictures and we can probably at least tell you what the pieces are. If you would rather do this on a face to face basis rather than all on the internet, send me a Private Message and I will be glad to talk to you and help if I can.

You'll get lots of good info on what you have if you post a few photos of the items in question. Important information to include are any marking on the item's. Condition is everything, pictures rule! So, take a few photos and post them here. Even if it's photos of groups of things - that might be a good place to get started.

Mods can certainly help with questions on rules for the classifieds - they might even make an exception for you, you just have to ask. Most of them are good people.

I thank each of you that took the time to guide me. I will take your advice and post pictures so you can at least tell me what it is so I can properly advertise it on ebay. As for the firearms I will start on those through someone that knows the rules of the law as soon as I get this reloading equipment sold.

There is no probate or estate in this situation. He was never married and no children so plenty of money to spend on toys I guess :)

Like your friend, I too don't want all of it here either so I have entrusted all of it to someone I trust to store it for me. Thank you!
I will start getting pictures together and will follow the rules of the forum.

Reloading "stuff" and guns have something in common in this sort of situation. You could have hundreds of pieces of reloading gear and the whole pile worth very little. Too common or generic. But you could have half a dozen pieces and they could be worth hundreds each. Because they are rare or special in some way.

If you have a bunch of department store guns, same deal. But if you had only six revolvers in a collection... and they were all S&W Registered Magnums or early Pythons.... you would be looking at some big bucks.

Whatever's you do... Please... Don't take them to a pawnshop and sell them for 20% of what they are worth!

Nope...won't do the pawn shop. Will get a list together and start posting to this thread to get expert opinions. Some of it I have no idea about but will post pictures if admin will allow. Thank you!

I think you will probably come nearer getting an honest appraisal here than about anywhere. If someone were trying to give you the OSU goat treatment he/she would be flogged by the masses.

Your Ok posting pics in this thread to get an idea of their value, and identity. Before posting in the classifieds, be sure to read the sticky at the top of the forum. You do have to have a numbers of posts, etc to be eligible to put items for sale.

Looking forward to seeing what you have! :D
