Guess I'll start by apologizing for my rant thread..........somewhat. Had a pretty good showing of birds this morning, best I've ever seen for a first split opener. Gadwall, mallards, pintail, blue wing teal, shoveler, and wigeon. Blue bird, no wind, sunny, hot, mosquitoes.....but we managed a 3 man limit. Dog did great.........great opening day!

Great job Okie! I think I will go fishing. My dad and a couple relatives are sitting in the deer stands. Might need a window unit with Heat and AC for Oklahoma weather.

Okie, your pics have brought back a flood of memories of duck hunting with my Dad and his labs back in the day ...

I HATED the cold ... the wet ... the early mornings ...

What I'd give for one more morning ...

Ahhh, that sounds a lot more depressing than I mean for it too ... I really just wanted to thank you for reminding me of one of the few memories of my childhood that is actually worth remembering ... Thanks!

Great pics Okie! Very cool...looks like a really fun morning. The ducks were buzzing my house all evening today going to Lake Arcadia... I'm talking a bunch of them....now that I have this yellow lab I need to get some advice/info from you on what all I need to be doing to get her squared away. Thinking about sending her to a forced retrieve school in Miami, Ok but not sure.
