Great pics Okie! Very cool...looks like a really fun morning. The ducks were buzzing my house all evening today going to Lake Arcadia... I'm talking a bunch of them....now that I have this yellow lab I need to get some advice/info from you on what all I need to be doing to get her squared away. Thinking about sending her to a forced retrieve school in Miami, Ok but not sure.

I started with mine the day after I brought it home at 10 or 12 weeks old, just a little bit each day. Haven't heard about the place in Miami, but there's a guy in Moore that several guys up here have sent their dogs to and have been really pleased. Have a friend with a 3yo Vizsla there right now.

Nice work okie! You're the only one I know of that had good success in the zone 1 opener. And don't feel too bad Dennis. You aren't the only one that had a wedding to attend today.

Thanks Porter, that's kind of what we were hearing too.............trying a different place this morning, we'll see if we get the same results.

The wedding wasn't too bad.
Redneck style. Everybody in camo, bride and groom rode 4 wheelers to the arch decorated with deer antlers.
Everybody during the service was drinking beer.
Bonfire, DJ, and a horse trough full of free beer afterward. :D

Thanks BB, I enjoy it, cold and all, I'll take that cold weather anytime!

Very few birds this morning. We were within sight of the lake and refuge, a few teal, very few big ducks. Heard other hunters in several directions shoot a couple times, so there were others hunting, just not much flying. Seen a ton of doves and cranes. Managed 6, blue wing, mallard and wigeon.

Nice work okie. ... Glad to see someone is on the birds. I've scouted every stock pond, flood control pond, river and lake that I have access to. I've only seen locals, a few wood ducks and a couple flocks of teal. I'm ready for some cold weather so the migration can get into full swing.

Foggy, quite a few birds, not real cooperative despite.......the fog. Fog usually makes for a quick hunt, not so this morning.
