I don't think it can hurt you to take a preventive dose. We do it whenever we think we might be exposed to something. I'll take a dose everyday for 3 days. If you take to much you'll probably get the runs but that's about it. We started doing this since the covid debacle started a rancher friend has been doing this for 20 or 30 years and no ill effect.
Prescribed doses, no problem.
My cousin died from ivermectin overdose.
He got sick out on the road doing a job. Probably took enough for a year to get better as the covid got worse over a few days time.
Overdoses of water can kill you too.

Mama and I had been feeling kinda poorly for a few days and after we finally came to the conclusion that we weren't going to be able to shake whatever it was off on our own we finally went to Urgent Care yesterday....swab test showed that we both have Covid.

Doc put us both on prescription Paxlovid (for five days), a inhaler and cough syrup.
I hope you two are feeling a bit better.

Don't want to get overly optimistic but I think I'm feeling a little better this morning. Haven't talked to her this morning yet, she's still in bed, but the wife said last night that she seemed to think that she was doing a tad better.....taste for the most part for both of us is pretty much non existent.

The Paxlovid is two three pill doses on a blister card per day....just took one, another in twelve hours and two more three pill doses tomorrow.

I know some are curious...we haven't had one in almost a year but we've each had a total of four Pfizer vaccinations.
