eye protection?
Habit I learned in the MarinesMuzzle always aimed down range and when the mag was out and the slide shut you did a visual. Why can I ever go to the range and be next to someone like you?
Flag your right thumb, perhaps.
not sure it's heartland outdoors the glasses kept the muffs from sealing up and I didn't double up.Are eyes and ears required there?
all this talk about remembering to wear a hat and spent casings reminds me of the last time i went shooting with my wife. although i never had that problem with shell casings i may have something to add to the list.
remind your wife not to wear shirts that are open at the top becuase hot spent casings may fall in and burn one of her boobs. my wife still has a burn mark on one of her boobs. (dont ask for pics becuase the may be inapropriate.)
i think it has something to do with the grip. i dont have an XD but i have several 1911s and it seems that some people get hit in the head with brass as well.

Too bad we couldn't have an opportunity to shoot with BB. She is the one person here on OSA that I would definitely like to meet.

Definitely! Always tell women to wear something with a tighter/higher neckline, in spite of the fact that it really screws up the scenery.
I've gotten a few down the back of my collar when wearing a collared shirt. Can't stand wearing a hat anymore since I shave my head, so the casings bounce off my face occasionally, but it's not usually a big problem. Although one time, one got stuck between my shooting glasses and eyebrow.... that got taken care of VERY quickly!
All just part of the deal, I guess... I just live with it. Certainly if I wear a collared shirt, I don't tuck it in... that's no fun at ALL!
And I agree about going shooting with BB... one of these days I'ma make it over to OKC and we're gonna go. GC's invited, too, of course.
I agree that hot brass is just part of the fun of shooting! I've gotten it stuck everywhere, front of my shirt, back of my shirt, in my eyeglasses, I've had it fall alway the way through my shirt (post-surgery!! :wink:2) and lay on my stomach at my beltline ... I had no idea I could dance until I started shooting!!
I'd LOVE to shoot with y'all too!! Yeah, I guess GC can come to ... We keep saying we need to get up to Tulsa again. He's got some time off coming up, maybe we should come up that way unstead of going to Watonga ... Hmmmmmm
