What are the Dove prospects looking like?

Saw a number of doves today as we were wasting our time with a stuck truck. We were originally going out for the opener, hoping to be out early before the heat. After today, we're waiting at least one more day. probably more like one week.

BUT numbers were very good.

Not many birds for me and my daughter down at Lexington this morning...but lots of public-land people watchin' LOL.

Most exciting part of the morning was watching three guys, carrying enough gear to camp for a week, walk diagonally across the entire length of a plowed up field in front of a dozen amazed hunters, an hour after legal shooting light.

Saw dozen birds at the house this morning, they were crazy flyers and my daughter couldn't ever get on them long enough to pull the trigger. 3 reports of limits taken in an hour this morning.

Exactly why I just slept in....my wife is ready to give birth so I have to stay close to home so I couldn't travel to my normal location
