He is going to keep writing fiction, but I think his next book is going to be non-fiction. I know he's working on a non-fiction book, but I can't remember if he said it's his next book or if there'll be another fiction book before it hits the shelves. He has mentioned it a few times on his (and others') podcast. I got the impression that Only the Dead will not be the end of the James Reece novels, but there's possibly a Tom Reece novel in the near future.

There's also a second season of The Terminal List in (pre?)production, as well as a spin-off centered around Ben Edwards.

Yeah, I knew about the second season and the spin off....looking forward to those.

Oh man, book about Thomas Reece in Vietnam and then the CIA would be pretty cool.

I hope we get to see Raife Hastings on the next season of the series...would be cool as well

In case you haven’t heard about it, Carr did a Terminal List Podcast that went behind the scenes of the show. They said they had a specific actor in mind to play Hastings, but they couldn’t mention his name because they were still trying to work out everything to get him. As I recall, it sounded like they had probably gotten him, but Raife is supposed to be in season 2 either way.
