Yup. Seems like the most I ever paid was $15 for the Sammy Hagar/VH 5150 tour in 1986 at the good ol' Myriad.

I was at that show and the VH with David Lee the year or two before. Dave was a better 'showman', but Sammy had the better 'voice'. Forget which show had Bachman Turner Overdrive for the warm-up band --- they blew the roof off!!

When you think you are at a black metal show but are actually at a Slavonic Liturgy.

One thing that makes me sad about the internet and the wealth of information that it brings is that it removed a lot of that mysticism surrounding many bands, especially black metal bands. Now determining if a Thor the bassist is actually a church burning, goat sacrificing, satan worshiper can be solved with a google search, rather than discussions with your buddies while sipping PBRs in the garage. Now with google everybody knows that Thor is actually Steve, an excellent bassist who fixes street sweepers the next county over, has four kids and an unhealthy obsession with smoking ribs.

Man we saw some great shows for $6.50,7.50,8.00!bucks we were really lucky when younger.

Thats what my father in law says, being 70, he got to grow up with all the cool bands. He also got to play with a bunch of cool bands, as he’s a hall of fame inducted rock star.
