What are your favorite 10/22 mods?

I'm so lame. I have a bone stock 10/22 stainless International (laminated Mannlicher stock) with a cheap scope on it. 98% of the time it sits in my safe since I got the CZ452FS and the Marlin 39A.

My son has one though that we are probably going to pimp with an Archangel stock.

Simmons 3-9x 32mm Adjustable Objective Scope in Leupold Rifleman Rings.

Not pictured, but I now have a Harris BRM-S Bipod attached as well.

how do you like your Simmons scope? I just ordered that exact 1 for mine about 4days ago.

Go to rim fire central.com and look through the 10/22 tips and tricks. I have one 10/22 with heavy barrel and all the trigger mods (polished parts, JB weld to get rid of take-up, power custom springs, and extended mag release). It shoots one hole at 30 yds with bulk ammo.

Are you guys just buying WalMart cheapo 10/22's pullng the receiver and selling the rest to build these up?

I would buy an old 10/22 used from Arms List or the classifieds here. The new ones with plastic trigger housings are junk, IMO.

Plus, if a total custom 10/22 was the plan, a person can start with an aftermarket receiver and build from there.

I have always looked for the pre-06 models. I do sell all of the pull off parts to get a little of my money back.
