I eat oatmeal every morning.

I use skim milk instead of water, walnuts, craisins, bananas, honey, smart balance, and cinnamon. I just recently started putting some steel cut oats in it as well.

It's a great breakfast, my wife hounded me for years to eat it and I've never liked the gooey crap that you typically see. Mine is tasty, only takes about 90 seconds in the microwave.

Instant for me is crap, too much sugar in the flavored varieties....

I can't eat oatmeal for very long. I get about 5 minutes into it and the texture just starts to gnaw at me.
Same with grits.

I've found it works pretty well with cereal, though. I throw my shredded wheat biscuit into the bowl, grab a handful of oats and toss it on top. Then comes the milk.

SQUATS AND OATS BABY!

Raisins, craisins, bananas, pretty much anything. I use brown sugar a lot. And milk! Try making it a little drier than it says on the box so it's not like eating mush.

This and this.

Walnuts, apple butter, berries, bananas. But it's gotta be steel cut oats. Instant is just mush.

This.

Raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries. Actually, any kind of berry.
Can you tell I eat a lot of oatmeal?

Definitely this.

Last time I'll say it, but this.

Strawberries are excellent. I break out the little single-serving size food processor and puree strawberries and blueberries together, and mix the berry goo into my oatmeal to maximize my flavor coverage. Bananas don't work as well for obvious reasons, but are still excellent when diced up and added in after the berry goo has been mixed.

This is my favorite way to eat it.
