My order from inline fabrication came in today so I took a break from studying to get everything set up. Going to test out some powdercoated vs lubed bullets for the .38 special soon.

Looks like Lyman 358495 (H&G 50) button-nose wadcutters. Are you casting those?

If not, do you want to? I have a 4-cav Ideal/Lyman mould I could be talked out of...

I'm not casting these ones yet. I got about 1000 of these along with my 38 special dies from a sale on this forum a while back.

I'll keep the mould in mind though! I'm currently making sure to save some money for Kate's birthday next month :blush:

Technically outside my reloading room, but I got my casting stuff all set up today. Still getting the technique down but the bullets got better towards the end. View attachment 465349
Those wrinkles show the mold is too cold. The first few pours are throwaway, just to heat the mold.

If that is the mold I think it is, it wants to run hot.

Good on you! This rabbit hole runs deep.
