What has happened to the T’s?

Have you noticed that popular pronunciation these days is to have silent T’s? Now we hear “imporant” and “Puin” instead of important and Putin.

Was just griping about that this morning! Using one’s throat to make the “T” sound. It’s become very popular - and very annoying.

Worst ones that hit a nerve for me is from those dam dyslexic Amish that pronounce 'ask' as 'akst' or those kuntry bumkins that add an 's' to 'Walmart'
