Been keto for almost 3 years. 218 to 196lbs, but more muscle than fat with minimal effort. Chronic joint pain is gone, which is huge for me. Hunger pangs are gone due to the “slow burn” effect of using fat for energy.

Some days I only do one meal. I still enjoy eating out with friends and family on occasion and will cheat with some complimentary chips and salsa or something, but that’s very rare.

Most days it’s more carnivore than keto. I do tend to save my carbs for a beer or two at night. Diet mainly consists of eggs, dairy (heavy cream and cheeses, no milk), beef, pork, chicken, with the occasional vegetable (Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, etc).

To me, it’s a whole lifestyle change. Calling it a diet sounds like a fad or some sort of temporary meal plan from an overpaid nutritionist.
