Oklahoma may be boring. . .and that's perfectly fine. I have no intention of ever living anywhere else.
If you live some where long enough you are going to run out of stuff to do. I visited Malibu California for a couple weeks to visit my best friend in college at Pepperdine. After the first week I was bored and ready to come back home. I couldn't believe how little there was to do there. I can only go to the beach so much before it gets boring. And to do most other things it costs an arm and a leg. California is the most over-rated state that I have ever been to in my entire life. To me the most fun a person can have in going out shooting or fishing. That is the life. But I guess that wouldn't be fun for a lot of people. Something that is in our blood I guess.

I'd like to buy a place with rolling hills, ponds, and a live creek, stream, river running through it. Far enough to be out of the way, but have a small town within 30 minutes or so.

And have this coming to your yard every day:

I'll admit that most of the folks I worked with out in kommiefornia were straight up folks just like us. But that was in Orange county too which was at the time pretty dominantly conservative. Why they stay I don't know, but I really don't care to live anywhere but here, Texas and possibly Alaska where one really can get away from others.
