That’s about the cleanest looking one I’ve seen. From the pictures anyway. Most jap rifles I’ve seen look like they went through a salt filled tumbler lol.

Question, because I don’t know much about them either, but why was the mum ground off? The German rifles I sort of get. But not the Japanese. I’m assuming same concept?

Still having the mum is big. The Japs were required to grind them off of all of their firearms because it was the Emperor Hirahito's symbol as a God.
