What knife are you carrying today?

A little heavy for my taste. So I usually don't carry it. However I could not pass it up at the gun show for the price.

Cargo shorts. Pistol in pocket, folding knife, wallet, snuff can, spare mag of 17rds, beard comb, meds, Ti pen, small notepad, Vaseline lip balm, and phone sometimes. Glasses generally on shirt. It can weigh down the shorts.

You forgot a flashlight.

Except for the small Swiss Army Knife my dear friend gave me 14 or so years ago,,,
I haven't carried a knife since I started at university back in 1998,,,
That small Equinox lives in my satchel.

I don't like the bulk of a folding knife in my pocket,,,
And openly carrying a blade on campus was iffy,,,
So I have carried this pair of leather shears,,,
In the sheath I made for them in 1994.

To me they are handier for opening boxes than any knife,,,
I keep them honed to be able to easily cut thick saddle leather,,,
So they make short work on any rope/cord or plastic packaging material.

Also they are an effective self defense weapon should the need arise.

They are a solid pair of "knuckles",,,
As well as being well able to deliver a nasty cut.

Back to carrying my PM2. The blade hasn’t been reground or shortened, it’s just an old pic with kind of a weird angle on it. Love this knife.

Been kicking around the idea of a Toothpick. Buck makes one for less than 20 bucks (China). But I'm wondering...are they very useful? They're so tiny. They probably carry well for a shorts and flip-flops day, but anything else?
