GPal (what used to be GunPal) has had some major issues lately. Hopefully this topic has not already been addressed, but does anyone know what the latest is on this Company?

Can't paypal for firearms.
Gunpal was a great idea and I used it successfully several times. I know some people were having a hard time getting their money. It seemed like GPal was not giving out money until other money came in. I wouldn't trust them at this point, if they are even still in business.

You can use paypal for firearms, and I have. Just make sure you dont put firearms as the item lol. I even put payment sent as a gift, etc so the fees dont get deducted.

Sure but then you lose a lot of the protections and advantages to Paypal if something went wrong with the transaction.

I have used paypal a lot. And even then, I have been screwed as often as protected. Their protection goes both ways, so I dont put a whole lot of faith in it.

I guess the thing with paypal is the universalness of it - almost everyone uses or has used paypal - its like Google Checkout - its a good idea but wont ever take off - too little too late.

Exactly, you can't claim breach of contract(no shipment/bad item) on a gift. If you do try to make a claim on a firearm purchase, they are likely to just suspend the accounts of both parties for violating their terms of use. PayPal is not a bank, and should not be treated like one. I only use them for small transactions or people with established positive histories.
