Yeah. It's been my experience. No suppressor can suppress or "silence' the super sonic crack of a 22LR. It becomes a super sonic boom above 22LR. Subsonic loads are a different matter, though. YMMV.

About the best a 22lr can be suppressed is in the 110 to 120 db range.

This is proof the republicans are no different than the democrats. They could have introduced this over the last three years but didn’t. It died in committee and then really died with the new Congress. Though it's been reintroduced for the 116th Congress, it's nothing more than virtue signaling so that reps can say, "Look we're fighting for you, keep contributing to my campaign because I'm afraid to get voted out."

While I disagree on principle with such logrolling, it's not forbidden in the US Congress; when they really want to get things done, they know how to make it happen even against opposition. Failure to do so is, itself, a signal.
