I dont worry about what a holster is gonna do to a guns finish. If a gun is going to be carried, its gonna get wear on it, plain and simple.

On my hip...XD Compact .45

This ... my Colt has some wear on the bluing from carrying. GC is always trying to get me to get it refinished. I kinda like the "experienced" look, myself ... LOL **

I took today off, we are closed tomorrow. I'm headed out to the farm when the sun comes up to try to hit the 16" steel disc @ 300 & 350yds with some .22 rifles. My trusty ol' High Standard 1911 is in it's Galco leather holster & the Aker Mag pouch is carrying two spare mags. I find the 1911 to be a great companion in the country. So far this summer it has taken two watermoscisens, 1 rattle snake & several turtles.
