Who would have tought they would be so rare?found a 6" also,i payed alittle more for that one bought it, off of Mark ,Firststop guns in SD,GREAT person to do business with.I carried a 4" Python when i started in Law Enforcement back in 1983,Nice shooters,Well built, i will let you know soon.How they both shoot,I had a knee injury,been layed up,hope i get better soon want to go,SHOOTING &

I thought I knew about Colts but I had never heard of a 3" Python; just the2 1/2 ". Are you sure it's not the 2 1/2"?

When you mentioned the date on the thread, I was wondering how I got onto it, but I think I clicked on the 'similar threads' at the bottom of another one and must not have seen the dates. Ah well. Such is life.
They tried the 2 1/2 didnt work well, so they went to 3",,popular ,but still not right.
Along came the 4". 6" and I believe there was a 7 1/2" or 8"...?
