I mostly use ebay. I search for the silver I want then sort them by price+shipping. No tax on your purchase that way. Be sure and pay attention to the item description and the seller's feedback, just like on other purchases. I've been very pleased overall with my silver purchases on ebay.

I am not certain, but I don't think you have to pay taxes of you sell something like that. there is no way to prove that you made any profit

Yes, yes you do. It's kind of like when you win big at a casino or the lottery, there's no record of how much you invested to win but you will pay taxes on the payout.

Now, feel free to go represent yourself as a CPA on other sites.

That's why I have my boss at work pay me in cash every Friday. If you get paid with a check then ya gotta pay all them taxes and social security thingy. If ya get paid cash then it's not like gettin' a check. No taxes. This one time, I was workin' at band camp, and they wanted to pay me with a check, so I just give'em my buddies name, then I borrowed his ID to cash the check, them federal regulators never knew a thing, I laughed all the way to the Red Dog Saloon where I spead the wealth around until I was broke, again.
