I got one of these red dot sights from Midway but I didn't know that it needed a riser to co-witness with the sites. Which one do I need to get it to line up properly with standard height AR sites?

Have you thought about 45degree' mounting it. I did and I like it much better. I opted for the left side, tilt to the right which discharges the shells out and down. Just a idea. I used the Bushnell TRS25 for a long time. They are pretty tough.
