Which would be the best upper out of these?

or
JSE surplus custom built upper with yhm free float diamond mil spec carrier
or
Delton custom built upper with yhm free float and RRA carrier
or
Any complete upper 550 and under

All of the above are good uppers. I have had Del-ton and spikes and both were great. I have heard good things about JSE but don't have personal experience with them. Out of those three manufacturers I don't think you can go wrong IMHO. For the price the Del-tons have an EXCELLENT fit and finish to them.

whatever one you like the looks of best. I looked at JSE but went and picked up a del ton from Steve at cold hand...I spent a little more but overall I am very pleased.

I have a JSE and it's fine. I also have a Spikes and it's fine. I also have a few I have built. Honestly, unless you need something for a special purpose or a very high end rig for competition, they are all going to do what you need.
