I've driven throughout that part of Osage County and probably have been there without knowing it. The OERB has erased evidence of lots of the old oil installations in the state. I understand the desire of landowners for the clean-up but some history is sacrificed in the process. I learned a lot of history of the area back in the 70s when driving around some of the oil lease roads and the old oilfield camps like Webb City and Carter Nine.
