My wife received her CCL today in the mail. We sent ours at the exact same time. OSBI cashed the check for them on Nov 7, 2012. Wonder how long I'll have to wait for mine now.

One of my students just received his HG License Friday, four months and two weeks after he visited the SO. No redos on fingerprints, just processing time.

I'd like to know why. . .Title 21 Section 1290.2 SubSection A-12 says OSBI has only 60 (or at most 90) days from the time they get the info from the Sheriff until they must either issue you a permit or state why they have denied your app.

Not that pesky things like laws matter to the .gov.

But what is the wait time for renewals? Still 60 days? Or can they push it out? Sent mine in tuesday of last week. 12Feb13 for you we need a date types. Application went 1st Class, which I guess means it should get there by thursday, and probably opened by someone either monday or today....

It goes in the same pile as the others, so around the same time I imagine. A few in here have posted that they applied at day 1 (90 from Exp) and went beyond the 30 day window.

Handed everything to the SO on December 17th, the OSBI had it by the 21st and I only know that because my buddies prints were rejected and the letter was dated the 21st. It has since been two months and I haven't heard a thing so my guess is sometime in mid March.

I turned mine into the OK County Sheriff on Dec. 10, got a letter dated Dec. 17th that I needed a valid certificate from the course to complete the application (didnt have an original signature) and they cashed the money order on Dec. 19th. I finally spoke with Ginger, the supervisor for the SDA unit and took her the signed certificate on Dec. 31. I told her I didnt want this to set me back based on the whole "from the time the complete application is recieved". She told me that my fingerprints hadnt been processed, and the 60 day window starts when they have been processed. Who knows when it will come.

It's been 72 days since I submitted it to the Sheriff, 65 days that OSBI has had it, 51 days since I gave them the correct certificate they wanted, but based on the fingerprints, who knows when the clock started.

If the class you took was for an Oklahoma Handgun License, you can only apply in Oklahoma. Each state has its own requirements for a carry permit in that state. You cannot use the Oklahoma class to apply in another state. You would have to take the class for that state.

That is not correct for Florida or Virginia. An OK SDA certificate is just fine for a non resident permit in those two states.

Sounds to me like some phone calls need to be made to our law makers and "Ginger" needs to be educated on what the law states. If the OSBI has processed your payment, the application has been received and that is when, by statute, the 60/90 day period starts. The statute is very clear and the OSBI is known for doing what ever the hell they want to do until someone holds their feet to the fire.
