the trend is that mills that package and sell whole oats are going to stop selling them. i wunder if anyone here knows why??? guess away and i will clue you in later.
nope------ because the bag might contain an oat kernel that has a patented genome. gmo.... and since whole oats are seeds you might spill some and it would grow. that is a violation of the seed security act and the penalty is horrendous.

I ain't a farmer, I just pretend occasionally. But, why wouldn't this apply to all seeds? Why just oats?
I call bs on this. They claim the cost to genitically modify oats is too great, and the payback too little.
