Way before any of the carzy crap happened I heted flying and still do.
But sometimes it makes sense to fly so I still do.
I have developed a 3 hours rule though.
No one leg of any trip on a plane can be longer than 3 hours.
I'm getting too old to have to be rolled off a plane.

I miss the old flying days when you could carry on your own food. I would always grab a sandwich from Neptunes on the way to airport and eat on it for a couple of hours. But now with the carry on restrictions, they freak out if you try to bring on your own bag of trail mix. The airlines started baggage fees and have been raking in billions and still lose your luggage. The airlines also schedule fewer flights and try to keep them packed. So if your flight has problems and gets cancelled, you might not find a seat on any flight for the rest of the day.

Who says there has not been another successful terrorist attack against the United States?

I've flown alot before and after TSA was implemented. I also have family that works for TSA. I love holidays when we all get together and listen to all the stories about a$$ hats that fly, the BS they pull, and how crappy people flying are in general.

Never had a BAD experience with the TSA. I recieved the Fisher Space Bullet pen a few years ago as a gift, and have carried it everywhere since I got it. On a trip to Arizona for a wedding, I flew. When I had to go through TSA checkpoint here in OKC, I made a point to show this pen to to the agent checking me. He had to get his manager and the manager had to get HIS manager. After about 20 minutes of discussion they finally told me to disassemble it and put it in my carry-on. On the way home, I left it fully assembled and just had it in my carry-on. Went through the x-ray fine with no issues. Not sure I feel comfortable with them letting a .375 H&H round just pass on through.
