No different that the ruski's emptying their prisons, giving them an AK and telling them to assault the front lines of the Ukrainians. If you run back, you get shot. If you run forward and don't die, you live.
That's life in the russian military. It was done in WWI, WWII and now.
They still fight wars of attrition.

But we are not Ukraine and our military, and civilian population is extremely stronger. We made out pretty well overall in WW1 and 2. Ukraine is in great need of money and weapons...whens the last time we did?
