Unfortunately, we live in a world/time that people need to be reminded. Just like the coffee cup that says the contents may be hot. Come Monday we will be hearing reports of people being affected by CO2 poisoning. You can't fix stupid.

When I was younger we did not have the frost free type and all the homes had a secondary shut-off in the basement with a drain to bleed them out for winter!
15° below zero is no big deal on the frost free types.
Judging from the last two winters, covers are effective to at least -10° on the old hose bibs at my house.
