Why So Many Sigs For Sale?

Love the Glock And Sig. Have aG19 gen 4. And G19 gen 5. Love them both. Both have been fitted with same firing group, sights and triggers. Sig 45, p365, p365 macro comp. Love them all and won’t sell.

I was issued a 320, nothing really bad about it other than a little heavy. Shot well but makes Glocks feel like they have a soul in comparison. I dont think I'd buy one. Love the 226 though.

I am very fond of my P220’s, P226’s and P229’s/M11-A1’s. I’m usually in the market to buy/trade to get something unusual or unique. Striker fire Sigs don’t trip my trigger much. I own a few older Gen 3 Glocks as well. They are ok, just not WOW!

Just speaking for myself, I was almost all SIG for years until I procured a Glock 20 (a decade ago, when the Glock 20 and 29 were the only routinely available 10mm’s around - outside an occasional used Smith or Colt Delta)

got used to the Glock grip frame , liked it , then started transitioning everything over to Glock platform and sold a bunch of Sig’s

fast forward 12 years and I’m tired of the snakebite effect I get from the Glock trigger when using heavy 10mm loads, so I’m temporily off the Glock train and have bought 3 Sigs in the last few months , although 2 are 1911’s purchased from a fellow forum member, and I love the 1911 again

so my take, yes I could easily take a Glock 19 or Sig 229 and say ‘ “Good enough! I’m done!”

but I’m a tinkerer as I suspect a lot of us are , so I’ve bought and sold roughly 15 Sig pistols for no fault of the guns at all

i do wish I hadn’t sold the SAO P220 10mm GT20 a few years ago though. I got excited when Sig put these out, paid a deposit, waited a few months, then got it, shot it and my reaction was — meh, not doing anything my Glock doesn’t do

I just got done selling my last P320. Now I'm all in on the P365. I think a lot of people got caught up in the craze of the military and PD contracts (so they must be the best thing ever, right?) and bought P320s without much prior experience with them. I was 0% worried about the unintended discharge after the upgrade. The evidence I've seen in the post-upgrade lawsuits makes it obvious that it was user error. IMHO, the P365 does everything better than the 320. It has a similar chassis system, but you can dress it down small enough that it actually conceals. You can also dress it up into a full sized gun, although I'm still waiting for 20+ round mags and better availability of duty holsters. For the size/weight to capability ratio, no CC gun beats the P365.

Im not an Sig Poly Fan myself - I like the original metal Sigs Much Much More.
I have noticed the same thing though, everywhere I look the P265 and P320 are everywhere.
I'm thinking it due to the fact they are 1/2 the price of the original sigs ?

I’ve sold a bunch of Sigs. But that’s because I was an Sig guy back in the day. The old 228, 226, and 220 were DA/SA guns that I loved. Actually managed to shoot a 228 into the ground to the point I didn’t feel it was fair to sell it. But eventually i decided it was time to move to plastic striker guns. I keep buying Glocks and then deciding I don’t really like Glocks (I still have a 45, mostly because I Miller the slide and figure that killed the resale value and the box was destroyed in a house fire.). The only plastic Sig I’ve bought is a 365 and I don’t know why people sell them. Absolutely love the thing. I want a Macro to compliment it. Want a 320 but admit to being a bit worried about them going off without input from the shooter. Outside of that issue I can’t see why people are selling plastic Sigs. But I assume that will eventually hurt my wallet.

I have in my stable, 2 Glock 19’s, gen 4 and 5. Love them both. I also have an sig p365 which after buying it and shooting it, I went right out and bought the p365xcomp. Man I love the 0365. You can hide it anywhere and the comp is so low recoil I just love it. Had to put a Holosun on it. Can’t beat a gun with 12 rounds that fits in your pocket. Love my glocks, but they sit a bit more (and cry) now a days. When I take the sig to the range.

Noticed a recent video presentation by Ben Stoeger regarding his personal experiences with striker fired polymer framed sigs in competition and in his classes.

He will not recommend anyone purchase them.

My theory is people buy sig p320s over Glocks expecting them to be better when it's just another polymer striker fired gun, get disappointed and sell them for a higher end gun. I have some anecdotal data to back that up of people selling them to buy shadow 2s in competition shooting, but it's just a theory
