WI to Honor Some OK Licenses

The Wisconsin DPS has updated their listing of states they will honor. They will honor the OK License:

Oklahoma license ISSUED OR RENEWED ON OR AFTER 10/01/2018.

As you can see from their listing they honor other states only after a certain issue date. Their law on reciprocity states

165.25 (16)
Rules Regarding Concealed Weapons Licenses. Promulgate by rule a list of states that issue a permit, license, approval, or other authorization to carry a concealed weapon if the permit, license, approval, or other authorization requires, or designates that the holder chose to submit to, a background search that is comparable to a background check as defined in s. 175.60 (1) (ac).

This caused me to pull out my card to double-check my renewal date. It appears I will be in the good graces of WI by the end of May next year. Guess I'll have to plan a trip there just to celebrate...

My renewal just came up last week, have to get the photos. I was going to Oshkosh this week but ending up going to Vegas for a trade show my wholesaler puts on.

I used my cell phone against a white background. Just make sure good lighting, and you get your shoulders in the photo.I renewed online.

I don’t have any desire to visit there so it don’t matter to me. I ain’t going near the Midwest or the north.
