Wife outfished me...

Left Friday evening and spent the night at Roman Nose State Park.
It was a beautiful Saturday morning

We got out there at 530 and the lake was as smooth as glass. It was a sunrise to remember. Only ripples in the water were fish jumping. A touch cool but perfect.

She caught the largest one I had seen to date. It went close to 4 lbs.

She caught it on a new wallyworld junker pole. She was frustrated with it because it wouldnt cast more than a few feet. She literally caught it at the bank. I thought she had a catfish. It is the largest one we have caught to date. We went home with six good ones and a couple of real small ones .

Yeah, It was full of eggs. I was kind of surprised. I now know when they spawn there. We caught a lot of really small ones. I guess the last stocking of the year were all little ones.

Nope. I put on the apron and grilled them. Boy they were good.
