Come on, buy it on the nastiest day possible and add that to the first Jeep memory! What did she get?
Just a low end sport model four door. I was a little nervous when they started talking about the Rubicon models but she went more practical. She is excited and it will probably never see dirt unless I get permission to take it hunting at some point.

That may be a while down the road.

If you can’t tell, she wears the pants in our family. Haha

My son has one. While I never thought I would say this, they are really great cars. Back in the 80s my brother has a Chevelle with a 454 and all the upgrades high schoolers used to do to their cars.

I bet a dollar to a donut my son’s Tesla is faster than my brothers old Chevy.

Yeah, but which is going to turn heads and get the thumbs up, while cruising?

A buddy completely redone a '68 Mustang Boss 302. When finished, went to the 35 year Mustang Celebration at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Over 15k Mustangs there. He placed 2nd in show.

He bought a new, '01 Mustang Cobra. It was faster, stopped better, handled better, rode better and was an awesome vehicle, BUT the Boss was the attention getter.

I have had many cool cars but I did not buy them because they were cool.
I bought them because they were either cheap or I had a need to go from point A to B without having any trouble Or I bought them as a parts vehicle.

I have not put my cars in shows and many friends said I should.
I just drive it and use it as a tool not a show thing.

No problems with people that like to show off their stuff.

FWIW I have a mixed experience with Stellantis cars. My 2013 Ram I've beat to crap and it still runs --- granted with a list of issues. BUT I probably wouldn't have a lot of those if Ram had addressed certain known issues long ago.

I still bought a 2020 Ram recently, and the first things out of the gate were finding out the cabin leaked from a known issue back window. The leather of the dash had peeled back and is wavy, and also a known issue. The window was fixed under and extended warranty but I got told to pound sand on the $1000+ dash issue.

On the other hand, it's IMHO the best appointed interior, and works well for my needs. But if you'd asked me a brand opinion in say 2017 compared to 2025 it has shifted downwards.

Mine wasn't that, but the back window is prone to crack just on each side of the power slider. The cracks in mine were so vertical when I got the truck, I thought it was just a designed seam thing. But sure enough, first rain and I had drips coming in there. Fortunately I had read some forum post giving me a heads up to look for it. As far as I know the cargo light on mine is fine so far.

They did issue an extended warranty on this issue at least. Wasn't happy that it took almost a week to get my dang truck back just so they could apply some urethane sealant, but that's one reason I didn't get rid of the old beast.

- Jeep Update -

It has only been four days but the wife LOVES it and to be honest, so do I. I would hate to have it for my everyday rider but for what it is going to be used for, it is perfect for her needs. Definitely not as smooth as my F150 but it feels like a good little car that made her happy. Not much more than I can ask for.
