I really don't see how wood is inferior on a "work gun".
Wood has been working fine for over 100 years on shotguns.

Well...at 28 years old, you really should still be into all that tacticool ********, like most other 28 year old guys are. Usually, you don't start appreciating blue steel, leather and wood until your late 30's early 40's.

I guess I'm another anomaly, huh? As are quite a few others on this board...

I was big into blue steel revolvers with wooden stocks for a little while, but I realized that blue steel is the equivalent to rust after it touches my hands.

So now, my newest passion is stainless steel and rubber Hogues.

I still am into blued and wood, even though like you it rusts like cast iron if I touch it. Oh well, I just have to wipe 'em down a lot.

Yeah, you and Soulman are the first to come to mind. There are probably a few other youngins on here I've forgotten about that appreciate the finer things, like iron, leather and wood.
