I dunno, it seems like if you want to game you'd just dedicate a Windows machine (or at least a multi-boot system) to gaming. Otherwise you'll spend your life trying to beat one flavor or another of Linux into submission.
I played a long time ago, back when the cap was 60 and you could still sell your account on ebay. Played as a human pally and got like 2nd Tier gear (only 3 back then) then sold the account for about 550 bucks.
Then got back into it about a year later and was one of the opening players for a new server. I made a killing on ore and bars since I leveled up really fast and upped mining to make bank at the auction house.
Ironically, once I stopped playing the last time I got a great gf and a nice social life. I never want to play again, but every time I reminisce I feel myself going into withdrawals.
