so i am going to buy one of these for CCW couple of questions
1. where to buy?? i found this online but don't know if it is legit?? any suggestions are welcome..

2. i know they have ported guns, what are your thoughts on those?? worth the extra money??

Stay away from the ported guns, it just is not necessary and has too many disadvantages. Almost every gun store in the area will carry the XDs. Prices should be close to what the online price is listed once you figure in the transfer fees.
Wait until you have your CCW class and get some more info on pistols before you buy.

I love the internet for research and info. But when it comes to buying a gun.. for me it's at a dealer or FTF where I can look it over. Photos do always show everything.
