I haven't fished too much lately but got out for a few hours yesterday. Fish were biting but I was missing, man I was slow in reaction. I guess I was a little rusty from not being out much. My buddy Jason was throwing small rapalas for trout and got this 8 lb 9 oz. Oklahoma trout. He did get a few rainbows too and I manged to bring to hand 13 rainbows. I got sharper as the time went by and had a good time. I miss fishing regularly.

Buglemouth bass. Lotsa fun to catch. Big sport fish in Europe. Can be pressure cooked to soften the bones, canned, and used like canned salmon. Not bad if you don't know what it is. . . CB

Maybe not rusty. Sometimes short strikes are the norm. Smaller bait, smaller hooks, lighter line, slower hooksets all help when the bite is tentative. I like weenie worms with ligt spinning tackle when bass are like that.

Pretty light colored for a carp from my area. Of course, the water is always muddy. Could it be a Buffalo? They take on a more silver color.
Never the less, I'll bet he had fun on that light line.
Love the duct tape glove:D
