That is exactly what happened to me, just not as severe! First shot was fine but the second shot is what caused the damage! I’m not sure I’ll be able to get this fixed since I bought it secondhand...A couple similar incidents here. Yildiz shotguns are junk!!!! - TexasBowhunter.com Community Discussion Forums
Wow that goes all the way back 2013 and happened 2x in that thread. One or both of the kids have been shooting registered and non-registered events since 2014 all over the state and country and I've never seen or heard of anything like that. I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone with a Yildiz at the line though either. Seen lots of squib loads, seen a couple of choke tubes ripped out, actions that wouldn't open after firing or actions wouldn't lock when closing.A couple similar incidents here. Yeah I took a chance with the gun, but I should’ve done more research.Man glad he wasn't hurt worse. That looks like it could have been a bad outcome. I really liked the look of the Yildiz O/U, have been looking at a 20 gauge. I think I will pass on them after seeing these events. One I can chalk up to things happen but several with that brand I will pass.
There’s a really good priced Browning Citori listed here in the classifieds. The GTIs shoot as good as an entry level PerazziWell guys, I’m looking for a new shotgun for the time being, for competition... I have a meet in about a month. I appreciate all the comments.
Thank you, I’ll have to check that out. There’s a really good priced Browning Citori listed here in the classifieds. The GTIs shoot as good as an entry level Perazzi
I’ll second the Browning Citori recommendation. That’s what I started competing with and really liked it. I still have it for a backup gun. If you really want to dig deep into the wallet, get a Kreighoff K80. It’s an awesome competition shotgun.Thank you, I’ll have to check that out.
