Your rifle is too heavy for SHTF

Having a family and small children, “bugging out” would be a nightmare and a last resort for me. I imagine if that circumstance ever actually arose, the weight of whatever rifle I brought along would be the least of my concerns

it all gets heavy over time. even a light m16a2 is heavy if you carry it and a healthy size ruck and the terrain sucks. remember, it all is gonna be jacked if you got to worry about this. not just kit and rifle, you got a lot of concerns if we are there already as far as a society breakdown or invasion. I was young humping a rifle and ruck too, not 55.
