The jury has heard and seen the police interviews of GZ. They've seen him explain it himself on several occasions now, I think three. The more times you explain it, the more chances for inconsistency. Plus, so far every witness the prosecution has put up there has built a foundation propping up GM's story. O'mara would be a fool to put him up there.

Right now the Zimmerman defense case is winning.
Zimmerman can only hurt his chances by testifying and allowing the prosecutor to anger him or bring out a side of him that the defense doesn't want the jury to see.

The persecution is doing a bang up job again today. O'mara has gotten state's witness and lead investigator chris serino to admit that all the elements for self defense were met, that he had no reason to doubt the truthfulness of the ear and eye witnesses, and that he was pressured to bring charges.

Yep, I don't know how you'd do this, though. Maybe George has beaten enough women, assaulted enough cops, and murdered enough teenagers, to have finally learned his lesson.

if the defense does not ask for a verdict or dismissal as soon as the prosecution is done they are crazy.

I agree, unless it is something (maybe something forensic) that can really strengthen their case they shouldn't risk calling anyone. This isn't like the movies where you try to get the prosecution to call uncle. And by no means should the defendant ever testify when it appears you are winning handily based on the prosecution's case. This shouldn't even make it to the jury, but I bet the judge will wuss out on a dismissal.

Really? How much do you know about these issues?
They were brought up early in the trial and quickly shot own. Both his VPO situation (which he had one against her as well) and the battery charge were documented as dismissed.
Zim seems to me as a normal upstanding citizen in most regards.

A lot of people are praying for a conviction for no other reason than to try and justify their utterly stupid public comments made over the past months.
There's even some currently doubling down on stupid.
