Interesting. When my wife and I were still dating and I dipped skoal like a lumberjack, she refused to give me a goodbye kiss before I left for work. I swallowed the lip full of skoal and have her the most exciting tongue kiss you ever saw. I'm not sure I made it the whole 8 seconds but it was close.

I will get flamed for this statement, but this incident and another in which a victim - a mother - was assaulted in her home in front of her toddler and the assault was captured on video has changed my Conceal Carry choice. I have been carrying a Glock in an iwb, w/o a round chambered, because of its lack of a hammer and a conventional safety. I always figured I could rack on the draw or chamber one real fast, and maintain a safety by not having one in the chamber. But that mom was attacked so fast that even if she had polymer on her, she would not have had time to rack a round. The same with Zimmerman - and as the Prosecution is so abley pointing out, Zimmerman was trained. Zimmerman was trained and Martin still got him down before he could draw. If Zimmerman did not have a round chambered, he would have been totally at the mercy of Martin. So I went back to carrying my Charter Arms .44 Special Bulldog Pug. Belt holster; high rider with a cant forward, shirt tail pulled over it, but tucked in everywhere else. I know - flame me. Zimmerman; a wanna be cop - whatever - he was trained and Martin still got him down. These things can happen so fast that there is no time to rack.

It comes to preference, in my case. Am paranoid about inserting the Glock into the iwb locked and cocked. I don't deride the trigger safety system of the Glock - it's just not for me in iwb. I see that there is no way to rack a round in the mom/Zimmerman scenerio.
