What does nepotism have to do with the facts of this case? Not sure where you're going with that except for as some have noted, Zimmerman's father is/was a judge?

He's a perfect example of a person whose criminal background should have prevented him from being eligible for firearms purchase/carry permit. I can pretty much guarantee he was only able to do so bc of who is father is, I know people with less violent and less extensive rap sheets that are denied.

The long DA trigger pull.

It comes to preference, in my case. Am paranoid about inserting the Glock into the iwb locked and cocked. I don't deride the trigger safety system of the Glock - it's just not for me in CC. I see that there is no way to rack a round in the mom/Zimmerman scenerio.

Technically its only locked if your finger aint on the trigger

.What kind of IWB do you have that is so intricate to get a gun in .
I carry a g30 in a comp tac , with very little problems.

.Try this unload and cock the gun carry it around , put it in and out of your holster several times, Ill bet you a wad of copenhagen it wont go off....unless you have a faulty holster, or draw

The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed unless their dad is a judge...

so you're implying that the law is applied evenly? How many others that have assaulted police officers get that reduced to alcohol education

Charges get reduced all the time. That's part of the whole bargain part of plea bargaining. It saves the state time and money, so if the guy has no prior criminal record, why not? Unless you have some proof of your allegations of corruption I'm going to have to side with standard operating procedure not worthy of removing one's constitutionally protected rights.

Glock to Go, Michaeld, the only way I can truly hide my Glock and dress the way I normally do is with an iwb. Holstering the Glock without a conventional safety and a round in the chamber into my iwb is a delicate process. The FOBUS offers none of the unique challenges of the iwb, and in the cooler months I'd have no problem with going with the FOBUS and a round in the chamber of the Glock, since I'd have on a light jacket and it would be easily concealed. Let me reiterate: The iwb holster is what concerns me, not the Glock.

First, Friends don't let friends carry Fobus. :)

Second, your concern with reholstering a chamber loaded Glock in an IWB is a matter of your perception and correct procedure. I see people all the time who do it incorrectly. When done correctly, at no time does the muzzle cover any part of your body, nor does any garment have an opportunity to enter the trigger guard. A proper IWB holster will allow one handed reholstering without the need to "worm" the muzzle in. It is not an issue for many thousands of people who carry a chamber loaded Glock IWB on a daily basis. As I've already stated, you did the right thing by switching to one you're comfortable with. Perhaps one day you'll feel the same with your Glock, perhpas not.

I put the iwb onto the britches, using the clips. Being very exact as to its location. Then I put on the britches, then the shirt. Then I insert the 30 into the holster, the holster is invisible to the naked eye and insertion of the 30 SF is by feel. It is at this point I get skittish about accidentally touching the trigger.
