My boss wanted me to try and make it the 26 miles to the shop in a e250 van. I made it about 20 feet out of the driveway and am stuck in the intercetion. He told me to get to shoveling. Claremore police came by and had me call him and get a tow truck out. He still want me to try and shovel over the tow truck.

South Tulsa: I just did a roundtrip 0500 81st and Sheridan to 81st and Lewis, returning at 0630 in 4WD pickup.

Much of 81st was unplowed, more cars were stuck then were moving, and I got to see a guy run a red light and just miss a guy moving on the green.

I'm staying home now.

I am pretty new to snow. Do you guys drip your faucets when its this cold?

My wife's company wanted to make sure someone was there to open the store and receive a shipment this morning so she stayed in a hotel in Tulsa last night rather than risk not being able to drive all the way there from Claremore.

Well not only is her store not going to open today but she cannot even get the minivan out of the hotel parking lot to come home and she is stuck in Tulsa at a hotel at $100 per night and has been on the phone with me for 4 hours trying to figure out an alternative or see if I could make it out to her with the Jeep and extract her from her predicament.

This would require taking my kids out on these roads and I don't feel like I can risk it.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like the company should be on the hook for the bill. They wanted her there after all.

Get off my lawn.
Yeah you're right. We just hide in our house while our investment freezes out there. NO. When did America become so pussified?

What are you going to do wrap them in a blanket? How is hauling a couple extra round bales out before the storm and staying home the one day it snows being pussified? If you're snowed in for a week then maybe I can see getting out at all costs to haul hay. Hauling hay out today just means you were either foolish for not doing it yesterday or are foolish for trying to do it today.

The company my mom works for put her up in a hotel across the street from them, giving them 2x pay but requiring them to work double shifts. She went with it because she is getting per diem and making almost a weeks pay today.
