I'm still a new driver, but I have a few entertaining stories:

At the MSF class, they don't tell you about the motorcycle wave.
I thought "what are all these other riders doing? they keep taking their hands off the handlebars whenever they drive by me, I must be jacked up".
After all, I was way too terrified to take my hands off the handlebars.
It was weeks before I had the courage to ask a coworker about it.

Also I have a very difficult time going up hills and even my steep driveway.
Apparently my neighbors thought I was being a jerk because when I got home from work around midnight it would take me several attempts to park, revving and going only halfway up my drive, then sliding down backwards after I stalled it out...good times....

Its not limited to the HD guys. Today on my way to work I was on Memorial and look in my rearview and see a guy on a crotch rocket doing a wheelie. It was cool I will give him props but then he comes haulin azz right up behind me and I am in the slow lane. I look over in the fast lane and there is another car just ahead of me going about 10 miles slower than me.
Yeah I slowed down and went the same speed as that car for about 1/2 mile.

ah.... the rolling road block .... always wondered if it was done on purpose, backing up traffic for a mile and making everyone mad.

yeah. I couldnt help it he ran up on me so fast I couldnt help it.

true story back when I was in highschool the road between Tahlequah and Muskogee was 2 lane all the way to fort gibson where it then changed to two lane.
One night a bunch of my buddies and I went to Muskogee on a friday night to the movies. We were leaving and two of my friends who had chevy shortwide pickups told me they would give me a five minute head start. I drove a lil Nissan four banger. I take off. Just outside of town I could see lights weaving in and out of traffic. I knew it was them. There was an old couple in the slow lane going slow so I pulled next to them and went the same speed all the way to where the lane narrows to one and then I passed them. I had traffic backed up a good three to four miles and now there were only a few spots to pass on that 2 lane road. I got back to town and my buddies showed up about half an hour later. Boy were they mad and they knew exactly what I did.

That doesn't sound like real bikers to me but your weekend warriors. I would not compare these jackasses with real bikers. Real bikers are those guys that show up at soldiers funerals and kids funerals. Some Harley's are really loud but when you rev them on purpose for attention, your a looser.

Quite simply it is people behaving badly. It's pervasive these days, it's not limited to "small peckered" "goobers" on Harleys. In fact I see more people in cars acting poorly than I do people on motorcycles.

It's good to see the mob mentality at play here, categorizing a group based on the actions of a few, kind of like what the anti-gunners do with gun owners. I can just hear them saying bunch of "small peckered" "goobers" that carry guns. Some of you guys in this thread are no better than they are.....

I have been riding for about 30 years and i dont understand the new harley riders at all.
Why pay so much money for a bike, just to go out in fair weather and act like jerks.
The way some ride that i have seen it's looks like Darwins way of cleaning out the gene pool.

Bwahaha. What is up with the sensitivity and defensiveness here lately?

Geeze people, lighten up. I make fun of myself more than I make fun of other people, and I'm still alive. Most people in this thread are just giving the lare model Harley riders crap...you know...like they would do to their friends...

But if you don't acknowledge the existence of the late model, fair weather Harley goober, you're in denial. They exist. Just like the 18-20 year olds that buy a GSX-R and ride around like toolbags in gym shorts, flip flops and a backwards flat bill hat. Both of these groups of goobers exist.

Lumping gun owners in? You mean like the OSA poster of Walker Texas tall tales we've (you included) been making fun of for months? Those people exist too. I don't cry into my pistols when a mall ninja is made of just because I own guns too.

I've riding for a while now, I have a crotch rocket and a nice exhaust on it. I guess y'all can consider me one of those "jerk" riders. I rev my engine in traffic and always ride with my high beam on. My objective is to be noticed, I want people to know I'm there because way too often folks in cars do not pay attention to smaller vehicles, or are playing with cell phones, applying makeup, etc. I do not ride like a retard or take chances, but ride in a manner that will get me home to my family instead of having some idiot cut in to my lane or pull out in front of me.
