How about having your whole house underground? Then when the bad weather comes, you have all the neighbors over for the tornado party.

Channel 9 did a story on the in ground garage units, specifically Flatsafe. They said that they are doing 16 units a day. When I ordered mine last Friday the wait was late July. They reported last night that if you order on now you are looking at late September. They must be getting hammered with calls. If you are going to get one it's still a great time. Some people are bound to drop out and you are not required to put any money down.
I have one in my yard. Its not my first choice when bad weather hits but my a$s is better off in it than in my house.

If FEMA does decide to do another rebate program will it be for that date forward or possibly retroactive. I would hate to go ahead and get one now and then miss out on a sizable refund, even if you have to wait to get it for some time.
