I don't know how people would vote for a repeat when the chance exists to see such a prolific offense play such a stonewall defense. But they may.

My guess would be because not many outside the state OK think of OSU has some great "prolific" offense. It looks different when youre not looking through the eyes of a fan. Sorta like beer goggles...:)

I hope Sooner fans will take notice that OSU's program has steadily been improving in recent years. I propose that it will continue to do so.

I agree, the bigger deal isn't a win but is how well the program has improved. OU teams have been beaten before, but they always were the better program (meaning facilities, recruiting, coaching hires). That's not meant as a disparaging statement, but just a fact of the matter. Well, that gap has narrowed. When you get the facilities and stadium improved, some good recruits and good wins, you have a ton of momentum to build from. These aren't Bob Simmons' Cowboys teams (like I saw during my days in Stillwater :D ).

Thank you, Super Dave, and good to see you today. Anyway, being an OSU Alum, you have no idea how good this is. I and I know you tire of my old stories but when I was there in the late sixties we ONLY beat OU two years in a row and that was with the worst coach, Phil Cuthcins, in the schools history. We used to take dates to the games only because they had purses so we could take the booze in, that is how bad it was then. We expected to lose to most so we enjoyed it. During the first half the kids selling soft drinks would go up and down the steps of the north side where all the students were yelling cokes. cokes etc. In the second half they yelled set ups, set ups. If you can imagine, that was the way it was and having grown up around a bunch of OU Alums back then (m guy I worked for in hs was on the track team) who all expected me to go to OU they disowned me not really but I caught hell for going to and graduating from OSU. Today I heard not a word from any one about the game and I work weekends at a very busy place, gee I wonder why?

I graduated from OSU in 1969 and I know exactly what you mean.

Respect to you, fellow alums. I was at OSU during the infamous 1988 Bedlam game and have dealt with decades of childish, asinine comments from Sooner fans. It was absolutely beautiful to see the Orange Crush delivered last night. Live ORANGE.

Nice example of the pot calling the kettle black. You act like OSU fans have never acted childish and asinine before. Shall I go through this forum and start quoting?

In fact, I'd say OU fans have been overwhelmingly respectful on this forum in the past 24 hours. OSU fans have been a different story.

I'd agree that Sooner fans have been respectful since the game, even on Facebook. I have several friends who are OU alumni and they have been great. By the same token, OSU fans have been pretty good on FB as well as this forum. Lemme 'splain where I come from: I was on the OSU drumline for 4 seasons. You try putting on a geeky orange and black uniform and walking across the OU campus. Brother, you have NO idea of the comments that are directed toward you. I've had senior citizens scream stuff at me that would embarrass a child. So as they say, until you've walked a mile in my shoes...
