And then he walked down the street and shoot his ex-wife and kids with the gun he lied about.

Sorry guys but police HAVE to check things out when they get a call and the smart person will help make it easier on all involved. Do you really think the LEOs enjoy these BS calls? And for the record, expect a lot more of these until people are used to seeing others walk around openly carrying firearms. It sucks for those of you that open carry but it is a fact of life that most people are going to freak and call the cope until they are used to it.

Here are the facts IT'S NOT ****ING OKLAHOMA It's OHIO and the fact is that their laws are vastly different from ours. So stop trying to make Oklahoma law fit that if a case in Ohio.

No I just used the logic behind the police even existing. Sorry guys but all it is going to take is the police missing one such incident for the gun grabbers to start working to ban open carry.

Exactly!!!! Show some common sense is all I am saying.

Right now about half the country is scared to death of guns and their owners. Do not give them ammunition to use against us. If you are carrying and an LEO ask, show him your ID. If you do not legally have to, do it anyway but tell him you are doing it under protest because the laws says you do not have to. Show the general public that you are a responsible, mature gun owner and not the crazed right winger the gun grabbers and media say you are.

It is simple guys, the LEOs have to do you the job they were hired to do and that the general public expects them to do. They really do not have much choice in this. You have the choice. Do you let them see you stand there arguing about you rights to show off your firearm, see your gun taken away and you placed in the back of a police car, or do you show them a responsible gun owner who when stopped by the police corporates in a civil manor and is allowed to leave with his firearm still on his hip? Which looks better for gun owners?

Standing up for your rights is way more important than trying to prove anything to the sheep. When was the last time you convinced a sheep to do anything other than follow? You should know better than anyone that if you give em an inch they will take a mile. If OK law said I didn't have to show ID if i was open carrying I would refuse same as he did. I understand the cops were just trying to do their job but they crossed the line. Watch the video and read the report again. I think you're missing the point that when he refused (which the OHIO STATE LAW ALLOWS him to do) they threaten him with bogus charges. BTW here is another video of the police just doing there job http://youtu.be/Ah3a7dQqyZI

Nothing beats people willingly giving up their rights in the face of tyranny. Bottom line the guy deserves an appology and nothing more. The police also need a lesson in state law as well as a reprimand for threatening a non law breakig citizen with bogus charges. But that's just my .02

You guys think what you want but the responsibility of the LEOs is pretty much the same all over the country, and this is exactly the kind of thing many of us that were not in favor of open carry were worried about. When the gun grabbers start in trying to do away with open carry because of crap like this, you do not get to scream about it. You brought it on yourselves.

We brought the restriction of our rights on ourselves by exercising our rights?

Sounds a lot like "we had to destroy the village in order to save it."

No, Rick, some of us just don't give a crap what gun grabbers or public employees think about our rights. Gun grabbers won't play nice just because we're quiet, responsible folks. It ain't "live and let live". Being quiet, polite and PC has caused enough problems already. If you are free, you don't need to worry about getting hassled for exercising your rights. If some taxpayer funded employee wants to make you uncomfortable, or afraid to exercise those rights, I say bring down all the wrath you can on them. Make them RESPECT your rights.
