I like the father-in-law's idea. Post a sign with an arrow.
"Attn: Gang bangers, that's the dealer you're looking for. Please aim carefully, there are children in the neighborhood."

I read it all and the child was not in the street.
Had the same deal happen to me in Spencer..Drug house across the street.
Stole all my guns and some electronics..muddy foot prints from our front door to theirs.
I was in California, wife was gone for 30 minutes from the house when this happened with my 2 young boys 1year old and 5.

Cops came by and went to the house and did nothing..stated no one had muddy shoes when they came to the door.
REALLY!
I had 2 really nice doors i just hung as we had been there about 2 years..The insurance companies policy was to replace doors when a break-in occurs.
CRAP DOORS! warped junk and ruined the trim they never finished.

I drove straight home 22 hours.
Called the door company and had a word..not any good with that so i drove to the door company.
I will beat some asses!!! Send them boys out here that F'd up my doors. And left trash all over my yard. I took a big bunch of trim when i left there. No one ever came out to finish that job!
Less than a week later the same guys broke into my neighbors house..Trail of his candy to their door, he was a diabetic.

We cleaned house...as the cops did nothing again.
Neighbor and his son kicked the front door in with guns ready.. I was outside with a loaner gun , as mine were gone.

They got their stuff back..people moved out..Kind of funny no one got shot but a bunch of shots went off and druggies/ theif's flew out of windows.

Cops asked my neighbor if he shot his gun.. neighbor stated he shoots all his guns everyday.

I do not miss it.. and yes i will burn you down.
I had young kids and that BS does not fly...A lot more went on before the theft.. including a walk by shooting at the buss stop.. that house was where the buss stopped...

Something had to happen and the cops did not want any part of it.
They actually thanked us 2 weeks later ..stated they tried for months to get them out of town..BS they never raised a finger.
Yes i am violent sometimes.
But you give me a reason and it is on.
Otherwise i am always happy go lucky and will give you the shirt off my back.

Shortly after we moved to Spencer wife called me at work and said she called 911 to report gun fire.
They told her it is just a neighborly dispute and nothing they can do about it...REALLY!! we can shoot guns in a housing addition..
Cops never showed up for the walk by shooting either.
Good to know.
Now nothing against good police officers, i have many friends and relatives that are ,,,but that situation sucked.

after reading this thread I'm starting to wonder if some of you have either, never had to deal with a meth head tweaker or are a meth head tweaker. :lookaroun
Meth makes otherwise sane people do insane stuff I've dealt with it personally, it is a horrible, wretched drug that absolutely destroys the lives of the people that consume it. And the people that are cooking it in your neighborhood ARE affecting you. Try selling a house that has had meth cooked in it. Oh its been remediated... yeah good luck with that one. The ideal of most neighborhoods is to have as many owner occupants as possible thus creating a pride of ownership mentality that keeps the property values up. Most meth lab homes end up being sold to investors who rent them out. Not saying all renters are bad, but most could give a rats ass about how the neighborhood upkeep looks.
Meth labs frequently burn up causing property damage not only to their house but their neighbors as well. Guess who gets to pay for the medical expenses of the dumbasses, frankly I'm not that charitable.. The type of people coming and going to buy drugs are also ****ing losers, who are more likely to commit other crimes, if you are ok with that kind of folk being around you, well more power to you, but chances are you need to take a long hard look at yourself.

OP hasn't stated whether its weed or meth, he simply said drugs..... It is usually pretty easy to determine which one is being peddled by the appearance and body language of the customers(tweakers are not that hard to identify).

Yes, tweakers suck(they steal to pay for their habit, can exhibit radical and spontaneous acts of craziness, usually collect random misc junk, etc.)
Yes, meth labs are dangerous.

I don't think anyone has tried to argue otherwise, maybe I missed it though.

If you don't like the habits of the people living next door that are not affecting you, then you need to move not them.

The only time someone cooking meth affects you prior to the explosion is in an apt building where the chemical can seep through the walls. If you're that worried about the explosion of a meth lab next door it's your responsibility to protect yourself from it not anyone else's. ie installing bomb proof walls or fence around your home.

Simply not true. My meth head brother cooked meth in my mom's house. In the basement. She's dead now, he's in jail or on the run. I'm left as the only person in my family who has the means of dealing with the aftermath. His problem became my problem. It's not as simple as ignoring the problem or minding my own business.

I could just wash my hands of it and walk away but then the house would be left vacant and it would still be a problem. Just somebody else's.
